Breathing Space - A Course in Mindfulness

You will learn meditation practices that develop self-awareness and help relax the body and calm the mind. Presentations introduce useful approaches to recognising and dealing with stress. Group discussion with others in a similar situation is an important aspect of the course.

(A recent study found that many family carers experience stress related health problems associated with the caring role.)

Comment from Previous Course Participant 'I don't react as quickly when put under stress. I see the picture in a bigger way. Things don't get out of hand as frequently as they used to.' (A Breathing Space for Carers, 2008)
