About IMNDA

What is the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association?

The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association was founded in 1985 by a small group of friends, relatives and carers of Motor Neurone Disease (also referred to as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis - ALS) sufferers.  The Association functions mainly as a support organisation for people who have MND,  their carers and families. This work entails home visiting by our MND nurse specialist, financial assistance towards home nursing and supply of specialised equipment on loan to clients.  The association also supports research into the causes and treatment of Motor Neurone Disease.

Charity Number: Chy8510
