St Pats FC pledge their support to the IMNDA! Thursday, 17th May 2012
Meeting the Healthcare Needs of People with Disabilities Tuesday, 3rd April 2012
Neurological Alliance of Ireland Lobby Day Thursday, 1st March 2012In August Seven Clondalkin lads cycled an incredible 630km from Cork’s Mizen Head to Donegal’s Malin Head in 4 days! The cycle was the idea of Stephen Bergin who’s father James was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in August 2010. Stephen managed to convince six friends to get on board and join him in this mammoth challenge; Rae D’Cruz, Neil Doyle, Derek Daly, Peter Stafford, Darren Carey and Gary Delaney. Speaking about the cycle, Stephen said "As the IMNDA has given immeasurable support to my family and my father over the last year, my friends and I wanted to give something back. We decided on a charity cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head to raise much needed funds for other families who will have to tackle this disease. We have also chosen this difficult challenge because Jim loved endurance sports, he himself completed 10 Dublin marathons and will greatly appreciated and understood the challenges we faced”.
