Our Annual Remembrance Service will be held on Saturday 25th April at 12pm in The Hilton Charlemont Hotel, Charlemont Place, Dublin 2 D02 A893. The service will also be streamed live from 11.50am on our YouTube channel @MNDireland for those of you unable to attend in person.
This Service of Remembrance gives us the opportunity to honour and celebrate the lives of those we love but who are sadly no longer with us. The service is non-religious, and it includes a selection of readings, poems and music.
We still have some space left for people to attend in person, if you would like to do so, please email: community@imnda.ie with your name and the number of guests with you (if applicable) and the name of the person you would like to remember.
For the service, the names of all who have died from MND since our last remembrance service will be placed on the leaves of our Remembrance Tree.
The blue cornflower (Centaurea Cyanus) has been adopted by many MND support organisations around the world as a symbol for Motor Neurone Disease. The cornflower has a fragile appearance but a hardy nature and an inner strength. In a similar way, people with MND and their families show remarkable strength in coping with the changes this disease brings to their lives. We have desiged up some special pins that can be worn to help raise awareness of MND, these are available in our online shop, you can purchase a cornflower pin here.
As another way to remember loved ones we have our dedicated online Memory Garden. You can plant a cornflower in memory of your loved one in our virtual memorial garden here and personalise the flower with your own dedication.
