A massive thanks to the O’Connor family, friends and the community of Lordship in Co Louth for their fundraising efforts because of Padraic O'Connor who has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. The community raised a massive €80,300 from all their events.
They organised a very successful fundraising walk with St Patrick’s GAA in Lordship and they organised a Monster Draw which included prizes from cruises to concert tickets to hotel stays and many more! This draw was spearheaded by Padraic's brother Brian who too had the support of his own son Stephen from O'Connor Roofing Supplies. They generously supported the Monster Draw fundraiser by providing some of the prizes along with other sponsors such as Protection & Prosperity Financial Services, Peadar McDonald & Altec. Rob Kearney former Irish Rugby Union player and James McCarthy Dublin GAA player helped with the promotion of the Monster Draw also.
The draw took place on 3rd May 2024 at the IMNDA offices and we were joined by cousins Stephen & Donal O'Connor who pulled the winning tickets and announced the winners on a live stream on Facebook.
A huge huge thanks to everyone involved and thank you so much for supporting the work of the IMNDA.
