Applications are now open for two programs that help people affected by ALS/MND engage with and influence the future of ALS/MND research: the Patient Fellows Program and the Global Research Ambassadors program. You can apply for one or both programs using a single application form. The deadline to apply is Friday, 3rd July. Patient Fellows Program The Patient Fellows Program supports people living with ALS/MND, caregivers, and ALS/MND gene carriers in participating in the MND Association's International Symposium on ALS/MND, bringing lived experience directly into global research and scientific conversations. The program is open to:
Registration for the MND Association's International Symposium on ALS/MND (in person or virtual) Access to networking with researchers and fellow community members Limited support for hotel and travel expenses for in-person attendees Optional virtual registration for the Alliance's Alliance Meeting and Allied Professionals Forum |

Global Research Ambassadors The Global Research Ambassadors program is a virtual learning and engagement program for people affected by ALS/MND who want to deepen their understanding of ALS/MND research, treatment development, and advocacy. The program runs in September and October, entirely online. Sessions are scheduled across time zones to support global participation, and recordings will be available for those who cannot attend live. The program is open to:
Participants who complete the program receive a certificate of completion, recognition through Alliance communications, a Global Research Ambassador social media badge, and opportunities to join the Global ALS/MND Experience Network (GAMEN). |
