Would you believe that this year marks the 40 year anniversary of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association? That’s forty years of providing life-changing support for those living with this dreadful disease, and forty years of incredible kindness and support from amazing people like you.
So, let’s make this a year of celebration by coming together and putting on the biggest, most impactful, and most successful Walk While You Can fundraiser ever.
So, will you Walk While You Can this autumn, and help raise vital funds and awareness for all those living with Motor Neurone Disease?
It’s so easy to do, and it’s so much fun. Just pick a day, on or around Saturday 25th October, and walk 5km in your local community, with friends, family, colleagues and neighbours – anyone who wants to join you.
It’s so important for anyone with MND to stay active in their community as long as they can. That’s why we walk. To stand beside wonderful people like our Walk While You Can ambassador this year, Paul McCormick, and the 470+ families impacted by MND across Ireland today. Paul is doing everything he can to keep walking, and you’ll also be walking in the shoes of others who can no longer walk themselves.
"At the time of diagnosis, my thoughts were 90% occupied by Motor Neurone Disease. At the moment I am only giving it 10% of my thinking time. I am very lucky to have a supportive family and friends as well as the help of the Health Professionals and the IMNDA".
